# Recipes (Refined Seaweed)

These are bioplastic recipes that are made from refined forms of seaweed such as agar agar powder, contrary to using whole-leaf seaweed. Whole-leaf seaweed has an advantage climate footprint-wise over refined seaweed because the production of agar agar requires a large number of chemicals, and the same is true for carrageenan and sodium alginate powder.

Also, when I say the thickness in the title, it is denoting the casting thickness.
