# Flipped vs. Not Flipped

It turns out that leaving the bioplastic in its original form after casting makes it clearer. This means not flipping over or removing the bioplastic from its original casting position. Note: this only really applies to film bioplastic.

This experiment was quite simple. First, I cast a sheet of Ag11. After letting it sit for ten minutes, I cut it in half. I took one half and flipped it over, and left the other half untouched. Twice a day, I flipped over the originally flipped sheet, making sure that it didn't create too much contact with the glass, so it was slightly elevated and air could get under it. A better way to do this would have been to hang this on a clothesline of some sort.
